I studied in Essen (D) and graduated in Structural Engineering. Even as a young boy I was fascinated by cars. After university I therefore began working in the automotive industry and only then joined the family company. For over 25 years I was the Managing Director and owner of the company.
After the fall of the Berlin wall a kind of «gold rush» took place in Germany. My construction company also made the most of the opportunities and worked on interesting projects in what used to be East Germany. As transport connections were virtually non-existent at the beginning, I had the idea of using helicopters. This led to the creation of a charter service for business and patient transportation.
At the same time came the dawn of the internet age. As my family company was located in the countryside, it didn’t have access to an efficient internet connection. As a result I founded an internet company initially providing high-speed IT connections and later also complete IT consulting services.
The island of Mallorca with its amazing scenery has always appealed to me. Over the years I have been involved in a wide range of projects for the construction of villas and – a highlight for me – the OFRA Resort hotel on the Bendinat golf course. I ran the hotel myself for several years and then sold it. Today it is still very successful and operates under the name Lindner Resort in Palma or Portal Nous.
In 2004 I moved to Switzerland, where I now live together with my Swiss partner on the picturesque Lake of Lucerne. My company Konstruktiv AG – the name says it all you’re your ideal sparring partner when it comes to corporate management matters: as an external consultant, interim manager, turnaround manager or member of the board of directors.
What distinguishes me from other corporate consultants? I’m not a theoretician, but rather a practitioner with more than 30 years of entrepreneurial background.
